Collections take place dependent upon your location so refer to your leaflet or by contacting Mid Devon District Council, or from their website.

It operates a two weekly cycle and you will be provided with a black box for recycling items, plus a box for cardboard. There is also a food caddy that is collected weekly. For an annual fee (£48) a large brown bin for garden refuse is provided.

Non recyclable items should be placed in sacks or by purchasing a large black bin.

Household bulky items can be collected at a small fee (at Aug 2016 it was £19 for the first and £8 for each after that, or £26 for table/chairs or 3 piece suite, subject to change).

You can visit the site to view items on www.sampfordpeverellanddistrictsustainablevillages.btck.co.uk

Sampford Peverell Composting site

The site has re-opened on Saturdays 10 til 12 and Wednesday 6 til 8, during summer months.

When operating it is half way down Station Road which leads to Parkway Rail station is a composting site run by volunteers from Sampford Peverell.  If you have an excess of garden waste that cannot be taken by the fortnightly collection, or you have some thicker branches (but not more than 4 inches), then take them to this site.

Also a good source if you want some compost.
